The basic leather hanger is the traditional way to attaching your hackamore. It is made from softer leather than a normal headstall to allow better movement of the hackamore. Because the hackamore does not put any extra pressure over the poll of the horse when i tis used, the hanger does not need to be very wide in order to comfortably hold the weight of the hackamore.
